The Greenscape Exhibit was held at Savage Mill's Cotton Shed Gallery in Savage, MD. The exhibit ran from April 13 - May 3, 2009. It culminated in a two day festival featuring live music, children's events, green vendor's and green lectures. On May 3, from 4p - 6p, there was an auction of the exhibited artwork. The show was curated by Jill Hackney of the R. Coury Fine Art Gallery. 50% of the proceeds from the sales went to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. The exhibit featured dozens of pieces of beautiful artwork. Unfortunately it rained heavily for a most of the auction day so turnout wasn't as high as expected. I was astonished that of all the wonderful pieces of artwork on display, my piece, "Paper Dragon," was the only one sold. I was thrilled that "Paper Dragon" has a wonderful new home. My only wish is that more money had been raised for the foundation.
I took several pictures but I'm a very poor photographer so most of them didn't turn out. Here are the two that weren't blurry....
