This is my second appearance in a student show in the Breezeway Gallery. The first project in my Sculpture I class asked us to create a dinosaur or mythical creature. Our tools were to be limited to cardboard, white glue and hot glue. I chose to make an Asian style dragon. The piece is over five feet tall. The professor allowed me to use wire for the whiskers, to form the stamins of the white cherry blossoms, and a small amount of red paint on the scales along the spine (only one side was red, I painted the reverse side). The darker scales were created using a bit of graphite powder mixed with white glue. I also painted some of the scales and the border of the scroll with unaltered white glue. The exhibit ran from October 28 - November 6, 2008
